I’m especially interested in the imperfect, the fleeting, and the things that seem to carry a story. Sometimes that means photographing a dramatic landscape or an unusual piece of architecture. Other times, it’s a handwritten letter left behind, a weathered sign, an injured starfish on the beach, or the way sunlight falls through a place at exactly the right moment.
My photographs span nature, travel, architecture, history, and everyday life, but they’re connected by the same curiosity: there is almost always something worth seeing if you pay close enough attention.
I’m a self-taught photographer based in Wisconsin, and many of the photograhs in this collection were captured simply because something made me stop, pull out my camera, and preserve what I was seeing.
This portfolio is a collection of those moments.
